First Digital Trust (FDT) is seeking an experienced Business Development Associate to support its exponential growth. The ideal candidate is a self-starter and organized individual who welcomes the challenges of acquiring and developing new corporate & institutional business through sales efforts. In addition to growing & managing those relationships, you will deliver client feedback to assist us in our goal to build a superior user experience. You will also engage with industry service providers who can enhance the value of our offering. You will develop key customer relationships, identify business opportunities, and close business deals while maintaining extensive knowledge of current market conditions. You will work as an entrepreneur and at the same time, be part of an international team of highly talented and motivated people.


  • Build a pipeline of potential clients, including token issuers, exchanges, OTC desks, funds, money-service businesses, fintech startups and traditional financial institutions with a focus on Asia.
  • Manage your pipeline of leads by priority while keeping track of onboarding process status and constantly assessing the level of interest among leads.
  • Assess each client’s potential for FDT development and forecasted revenues.
  • Work with internal technology team on executing our roadmap and partnership integration.
  • Proactively research, identify and approach new clients and grow the sales pipeline.
  • Build relationships to establish an active dialogue with decision-makers of our target customers. Use your strong selling skills to set up qualified appointments.
  • Exceed sales targets & performance-based goals while working independently.
  • Influence potential customers by using consultative skills that are necessary to successfully represent products and services.
  • Handle inbound business inquiries, convert them seamlessly.
  • Document client needs and prepare proposals and quotes.
  • Negotiate and execute commercial agreements and partnerships.
  • Conduct meetings and video-presentations with qualified leads.
  • Maintaining positive business relationships between FDT and its current business partners.
  • Provide a successful Customer experience by constantly adding value, embedding FDT culture elements and representing our brand.


  • Relevant university degree in Marketing, Business, Economics, or other related fields or 3+ years of experience in business development, sales, account management, partnerships, or marketing.
  • Ability to close US$50k + deals and maintain year-over-year growth > 30%.
  • Interest in the nascent digital asset industry.
  • Desire/ability to work successfully in a mid-sized company environment.
  • Ability to engage with senior decision-makers and possess strong and sound business acumen.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently to achieve results, with an entrepreneurial mindset.
  • Ability to respond to changing priorities in an evolving business environment and coordinate multiple projects.
  • Mastery of the English language in a sales/professional capacity, orally and written.
