The opportunity

As a Fund Accountant, you will report directly to the Financial Controller. You will collaborate with talented colleagues across the company to help manage fund accounting, post-trade operations, reporting, and for various clients. This role is a means to make a difference: together with the Finance team, you will be a core member of running our fund administration operations and creating infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accuracy and provide key reporting, including the monthly and annual financial statements, tax compliance responsibilities, and treasury management related to our investment funds (across multiple asset classes and geographies).
  • Work closely with our service providers to ensure policies and internal control standards are being followed.
  • Develop and monitor daily and monthly reconciliations between internal records, prime brokers, counterparties, banks, and the fund administrator.
  • Maintain the internal accounting system, produce daily and monthly trading profit and loss reports and AUM reports, and confirm settlement activity across trading strategies.
  • Manage projects including efficiency initiatives, global fixed income trading efforts, new broker/trading counterparty onboarding, and researching/implementing new product launches.
  • Aid with quarterly reporting to the Limited Partners.
  • Other regulatory filings and other housekeeping tasks as needed to maintain funds.
  • Handle sensitive information and document requests from third-party administrators.
  • Correspond with stakeholders’ requests regarding fund information.

Requirements

  • At least four years of experience at a private fund.
  • Thorough understanding of financial reporting and its application to investment management funds.
  • Experience working with enterprise-level accounting software.
  • Advanced abilities in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience automating manual processes (preferred).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Finance, or Accounting.
